BIOGRAPHY
Sydnee is a Colorado Native and a natural born artist. Ever since she was young, she had a passion for painting, drawing, and creating works of art. As she grew, so did her passion for Makeup Artistry and Special Effects.
During high school she volunteered to do friends' makeup for prom, homecoming, and graduation. Eventually she got so busy that they started to book appointments and actually pay her. Her father, a Creative Director and professional photographer, would take her along to his photo shoots to do the model’s make-up which opened up a whole new world for her.
After graduating from Denver South High School, she completed the Esthetician program at the Denver School of Botanical & Medical Aesthetics and obtained her State of Colorado Esthetician’s License. During this time she interned with an experienced esthetician who worked at The Beauty Collective where she was mentored and expanded her network. She found herself surrounded by many celebrity makeup artists and eventually started working on the salon marketing campaigns and photo shoots for the local nail artists and estheticians.
Her makeup instructor at the School of Botanical Medical Esthetics was amazed with her skill and talent and told her she should move to LA to expand her makeup career. Sydnee was beyond inspired. In order to pursue this new goal she worked in a sandwich shop, recreation center and took every makeup job she could to save as much money as she could.
In order to take her new goal to the next level and to further her network and education, she made the decision to enroll at the Make Up Designory (MUD) in Burbank, CA. She was scheduled to start in May of 2020 but, unfortunately, the COVID-19 Pandemic pushed back the start date for more than a year. She was so determined to move to California, she drove 14+ hours to live with her aunt and uncle in Palmdale, CA. While waiting for classes to resume she worked at several retail stores including Sephora and Lancome.
While attending MUD she perfected her craft in beauty, special effects, labs and photo shoots. When she was not attending class she received many opportunities to work with up and coming companies such as Noodle_yes (Instagram) and makeup for Valentino Pure Beauty’s photo shoot which also was a part of her Colorado network of artists. She continues to work on photo shoots and is currently working with and assisting Make Up Artist, Stephanie Navarros. As a new graduate of MUD, she is continuously working hard to create her own name and reputation as a professional make-up artist in the industry!
